Our Super Poultry Mix Corn consists: 60% Wheat, 20% Kibbled Maize, 12.5% Peas, and 2.5% Mixed Grit.
The cracked corn (kibbled Maize) is more palatable to the chickens than the wheat. But it is higher in fat and so more fattening. But it is ideal as a winter treat, helping to keep the chickens warm. It is also a good feed when birds are moulting.
Wheat can be used as a staple diet for chickens and waterfowl.
Peas are an excellent pulse feed for chickens. Peas are an excellent source of protein, typically containing 23% protein.
Grit is used by all birds to grind down food in their gizzards, as they do not have teeth. Mixed Grit is high in Calcium; which chickens require to produce eggs.
Super Poultry Mix Corn is an ideal scratching feed for keeping the chickens active. The scratching allows the foraging chickens to also find various grubs, worms and insects. This supplements their protein intake.
Super Poultry Mix Corn is a good cereal mixture to feed to waterfowl.
